Vz52 and Vz52/57 are basically the same rifle except for Caliber.... ie.. Barrel and Magazine....
A Vz52 mag will work with a Vz52/57..... the Vz52/57 mag will fit a Vz52.....but the mag body is too short for the 7.62x45 round.

Didn't you say that the 52/57 had a crosspin underneath the rear sight in a previous post, while the 52 doesn't? Also, isn't the chambering different?

Yes, that would be the "Barrel" part of my statement.

I would assume that the Czechs were reluctant to "convert" to the Soviet 7.62x39 caliber....therefore the fewer the different parts the better for them.....ie.....same bolt, same carrier, same stock, same handguard, same firing pin, same trigger unit......etc....
