I've got a LE 6920 Colt M4 Carbine. The Carbine came in a blue label box and the label reads "Colt M4 Carbine." Though part of the date is missing on the bag that it was in, I think I can make out a date of July 12' (presumably 2012).

I recently saw posted for sale a Colt Carbine with a blue label that read "Colt M4 Style Carbine." My question is, what is the difference between a blue label "Colt M4 Carbine" and a blue label "Colt M4 Style Carbine?" There must be some reason for the distinction made by Colt Defense.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I believe that the M-4 has burst or full auto capability, whereas an M-4 style would look much the same but be semi-auto only. However, the LE version would probably be semi-auto only unless specially ordered and authorized. So these labels are most likely sales hype.
