Pretty nice overall. All matching from the outside. Don't really know which internal parts are numbered. Wood is very good, some small dents. Metal is good all over except for one small spot on the lower rear of the left side near the screw head. Cleaning rod present. Bore very good as is the chamber. Made in WF Bern.I have a spare bolt so I plan to modify that one for centerfire and load my own.Any suggestion on bullets? I am told the Vetterli's are sensitive to OAL on the cartridge.Also, is there any online source to check serial number range for manufacturing dates? So far I can't find it if it is there.Will try to post a few pictures later this week end.

Since it loads cartridges from the magazine like a Winchester, yes, the loaded length must be correct.

This might sound like a silly question but these rifles are something that I have no knowledge of. Why are the loading gate covers missing. Just about every one I see has that oblong hole. Or is this something that I'm totally wrong on?. Frank
