I found a pretty slick Star Model 30M in a local pawn shop. It looks to be at least 95% and has one mag, box and owner's manual. Price is $250, plus tax. Is this a good price? Not so good? Thanks.
I see them on Gunbroker selling in the $250-300 range. I bought mine a year ago with 4 mags, but no box etc. for $325.00. I paid a little over the going price, but I have really enjoyed my 30M, built like a tank, and a great shooter with a crisp light SA trigger.
I have had both the the 9mm and .40 cal versions. Very well made pistols that have gotten excellent reviews in the past...I think one review stated a 30,000 round test without a hitch. If you get it for that price you did fine.
Good guns --perhaps the best Star ever made--and well worth $250.
But as with all used guns, field stripping and thorough examination is sensible.
