I was offered a 1904 m91 with Finn front sight on it. The rear sight is the curved type not the 91/30 type. It has about 80% blue and is in a well used one piece stock. Is this a Finned dragoon? What is a fair price? Also, has a SA mark. Thanks for input.

Could be a dragoon, but hard to say without more info. If the barrel is 31" or close, it's an M91. If more like 29", dragoon. Also, the bands on a dragoon are similar in position to a 91/30, whereas the M91 has the front band at the very front of the handguard.

For M91...

In great shape, $180-220.

In fair shape maybe 140-160.

This is about what most collectors will pay, anyway. Also assumes the bolt is Finn matched and complete with rod and handguard.

If it is a dragoon, probably $300+ in VG+ shape, $200+ for fair-good.

Dragoon - Depends on the length. I would guess a standard Infantry M91 - Price $200-250 if a Dragoon add $100 or so.

Barrel on M91: 30.5" or so.... dragoon 28.5".

The barrel band is the giveaway. If M91, front band is about 2" behind nosecap, if dragoon its about 6" behind. Also, M91 handguard is bracketed between barrel bands, whereas dragoon goes past the rear band and wraps around the front sight, and goes past the front band. It will have a spring band retainer for each band, too.
