A friend of a friend has a what appears to be 1911 not an A1. It came fron his father who served in ww2. Has roughly 50% finish. Colt mfg flaming bomb proof on frame. Will upload pictures a little later. Trying to get a better idea of value. I'm so that into 1911 but would pick it up depending on the price and want to give him a fair value for it.

It was a 12900 serial. I don't know about parts. Wasn't able to get a complete look. how much would that change the price. Will have pictures soon waiting for him to by back to me.

Was able to get some pictures below. SN is 127990 which makes it a 1915 production gun. has some light pitting at the front of the slight and that pitting is finished over. If any other pictures would help I should be able to get more. rifling in barrel is existent but well worn.
