1394 Mauser Banner DR - Deutsche Reichbahn - postal train guard rifle.
ALL matched (repro sling, the original is tucked out of harms way) near mint condition.
I think it would look pretty cool chrome, no?

You are right... If I remember correctly the punishment was to carry an M44. I only have an M43, do you think carrying that will be enough to atone for my sins or will it have to be an M44? If the latter is the only way I expect the honorable member who instituted the punishment will take the trip here to present me with an M44 to carry...

Here is what can happen to those nice rifles later in life.
This is an Isreali Nato rebarrel in pretty good condition except the rec has been polished a bit so the banner isn't sharp. It is really a clearer Banner than the photo shows.
It is one of my "neater" shooters, the other one is a G24(t) Isreali.
