Bought this ammo from Sportman's Guide. It is supposed to be Portuguese. Am I right in assuming it was made in 1982? I opened 3 boxes and only the top layer of rounds in each box is slightly tarnished. I read another thread and it said that this ammo is supposed to shoot pretty good. What is the general consensus?

Fabrica Nacional de Munições de Armas Ligeiras. Portuguese NATO 7.62x51mm in 20 round boxes as used in the Portuguese army Espingarda m/961 or license-built G3. Portuguese factories also assembled Browning Hipower 9mm pistols. Ammo should be boxer-primed and noncorrosive. Looks good! Good shooting to ya.

Excellent ammo, but I think you'll find it's Berdan primed.

I was in a MA gunshop recently that had some for sale.......at $199.99/pack. I would guess they're still there.
