New to the Mauser world. Came across this thing. It does not have the VZ marking so I’m hoping someone can tell me what it is and it’s value Thanks for any help

its a milsurp action with a sporting style stock. the action is of K98k type with what appears to be its original barrel, and sites, probably in caliber 8mm Mauser. the receiver is of BRNO mfg, in Czechoslovakia. this was probably post-WW2 production.

Have you had it out of the stock? Looks to be a 45-50 BRNO k98k. There may be German proofs, and the receiver may have been scrubbed, but this is a post-war assembly as it has the Czech lion proofs, even if some parts may be war-time. (Serial number suffix being lower case may make it an occupied production receiver). Google Czech k98k BRNO. Some good articles out there, and some of these are quite desirable now (specially if built in german marked parts).
