I was going through some of my WWII photos and came across these two pictures which you all might be interested in. I'm not familiar with machine guns, maybe you can help me out as to what they are. I'm pretty sure the one on the ground is a type-97?

Bren on an AA tripod?
Sure looks like a Japanese KM.

Well at least one of the pics is relevant to this board. I was sure they were Japanese guns. I'll stick to T-99's :) I'll remove the one pic to save space if need be.

Thanks

Can't help ID that AT on the ground but look further back, on the ground behind the 3 guys standing up and it appears to be a Lewis Mark 1 and then yet further back it looks like a manned Vickers MG Mark 1 on a tripod.

Looks like the british/aussie equivilent of Knob creek, every group of guys has a differnt MG or AT..I really like the Boyes, should have bought one back before they went insane.Always have wanted one of those, A lahti 20, and maybe one of the big german or polish bolt actions..I seriously considered a Lahti a few years back ,but being a kid bought a camero instead, wish today Id bought the ATR.
