Picked up "an old Russian Rifle" from my uncle.... ;-)

So, a few years ago, my uncle mentioned he may give me his old imperial Russian rifle... this week I got the call! It's now mine, and as luck would have it...it's not just a 1896 "Tula" , it has these funny stock splices, and an [SA] stamp!!!!

[ Edit... Yes, sorry sestroryetsk, uncle called it a Tula which threw me off ..]

Filled 2 or 3 holes in my collection with one rifle!!

When my uncle learned it had a Finnish connection... His words "well I'm glad someone may have used it against the Russians "

Thanks ... corrected and clarified. My uncle called it a Tula, and I knew that was wrong. Now to dig into his great uncle's Kokoru bring back 99 he gave me as a bonus. Intact mum, but bubba plugged barrel.

It was a mail-order luck of the draw 20+ years ago. Crazy lucky draw, for sure!
