That’s one of the nicest ones I’ve seen too! Most have that black coating chipping or flaking. Always wanted one that was German occupied. I’ve bid on a few... but always lost the auction. Congrats on a beautiful piece.

Nice, as noted, yours is in fine shape, compared to most.

Mine, now long gone, was in much rougher shape, however it functioned well with original steel cased ammo.
IIRC, there were a couple of hangfires and dead primers in that box.
I managed to acquire two boxes, shot one stashed the other.
I also managed to get two boxes of "custom" cartridges (turned from .32 S&W) from an unremembered source.
These did not function as well as the original ammo, they were comparatively weak and some of the remanufactured cases were dimensionally off.
I had every intention to reload for it and managed to get my hands on a shell holder but the dies eluded me.
My efforts to substitute other caliber dies (.32ACP, .32S&W, etc, etc) proved unworkable, for me, so I eventually gave it all up.
These days, in the French weapons forum, there are sometimes group buys to get Lee to do a run of their die sets, often there are extra sets made and are for sale by the members there.
