I'm looking for some photos of Austro-Hungarian officers 1900 - 1918 with handguns (either visible or holstered). If you can help me out please PM or e-mail me.

Many thanks.

Wayne: I appreciate you trying but the first photo appears to be Brits and the second, while A-H, are enlisted men with rifles.

1917 winter patrol

This pair of winter 1917 cards from J.R. 3 picture and describe a well armed patrol carrying rifles, two types of grenades, and pistols. I would appreciate a detailed translation of the message, information about the unit, and location of Feldpost 165 during the date shown.

Sorry, no action pics … my great grandfather on dad's side of the family served in the Austrian army in the Balkans, and dealt mostly with the 'Insurgenten' there during his service time.
He was also the one, because of the difficult economic circumstances after WWI in the German and Austrian territories, who raised my father and his two younger brothers during the first years of their lives, and that man was one very tough mean fellow...

More Austro-Hungarian WWI handgun photos and an action painting

I'm looking for some photos of Austro-Hungarian officers 1900 - 1918 with handguns (either visible or holstered). If you can help me out please PM or e-mail me.

Many thanks.

A German pilot and his observer have just received their 2nd class iron crosses from Crown Prince Carl, who next spoke with his sword and pistol wearing Austro-Hungarian troops.

The Austro-Hungarian telephone troops are doing a good job with their Steyr Hahn pistol protecting themselves from the Russian infantrymen.
