Today I went to the gun show in Pensacola and I wasn't expecting to find anything, I was mainly looking for good deals on ammo (yeah right.
) But I saw the table I usually go to because he usually has some neat older mil surplus firearms so I went over to the table and what do I find.. A 1897 Tula Mosin! She is unscrubbed, and has two SA stamps on the side of her. What impressed me even more was that I could not find an import mark anywhere! I think I did okay on that deal for $200 out the door.
So after that, I was already hyped up about that find, so I go across the place and find another Mosin just sitting on the rack, I was thinking to myself it might be a Romanian M44, but the stock looked too nice to be that so I went over to it and picked up, and what do you know, it's a 1953 Polish M44, bluing is perfect, the stock isn't perfect but it's beautiful, I talked to the owner for a little bit and came to a deal of $275 for her! Needless to say, this has been a very successful day for me and my Mosin collection!
Pictures will be in the next two posts!
