Did the Army parkerize the M1917 revolvers during WW2 and reissue them to the troops? Any help would be appreciated.

I have seen them re-parked and with rebuild stamps for WW2 issue

It did happen. If they did not need redone, they must not have parkerized them since so many in original blue still exist.
