P1907 bayonet stamped NSW

Hello all,
I've got a Wilkinson made P1907 bayonet dated 1909.
The pommel has >l< on one side, and the other side has:
NSW
1899
The guard is not stamped.

What era would it have been stamped? pre WW1? WW1?
What service would have used it? Australian Military? Police?

Thanks

I have it's twin (to go with my 1907 NSW marked MkIII) although mine is very battered!
mine has had the quillon removed and whoever did it spent quite a bit of time shaping and rounding off what was left.
