Weaver scopes, the old ones that is,are some of the best optics ever produced in the US.Although the old Weaver organization is no longer around, having been bought out by Simmons, there is a non-affiliated group in El Paso,Texas who does repair and refurb on Weaver scopes. This group as I understand it are old ex-Weaver employees.Appropriaterly goes by the trade name of Weaver Scope Repair.
I sent them a Weaver variable last year which I have been using for 35 years. They sent it back like brand new.I'm still using it...on an Enfield.

Oh,wow! That was the ultra deluxe version of the day.I hope it is in good condition and if so it will serve you well. They are excellent light gatherers even in the smaller tubes.Would be great that today's scope manufacturers could do as well.
