I bit before my time. I have never seen thoes prices. I believe in the mid 60's a Colt Government model was in the $ 125. range. I also missed the $ 25. Luger!

Can't remember any of the handgun prices but I remember some of the rifle prices. For those familiar with the old South Florida gunshops in the late 60's to the 70's, Gold Triangle on Kendall Drive, had a couple of racks holding nice M1 Garands that were tagged at $89. The old Tamiami Gunshop on Tamiami Trail had a bunch of Johnson Rifles for under $100, and tons of Mausers for a few bucks each. Garcia Gunshop on 22nd Ave. had a couple of racks holding K98A's and G98's at $88 each. I specially remember holding some of the 98A's and wishing I had the cash to buy one.

Purchased one of those snail drums and then sold it for $35 and thought I had done well.
