In the Elk Grove part of Sacramento, California and plan on going shooting with my brother before we leave. Don't want to go to any indoor places. Been wanting to go to the hills or a shooting pit. Anyone know of a few areas in the Elk grove area? Can't seem to find any on google

Try searching Sacremento valley shooting range in Google- they have a range that goes out to 1000 yrds. Later this year they will be hosting a Mil Surp match at 800 and 1000yrds. Try them

The only place close to elk grove that I can think of not counting sac valley would be either the Lincoln Range, or Spenceville. Both of those are at least an hour drive from elk grove though, spenceville even further than that.

I think OP is looking for BLM. Only one I know of is spenceville.
