Argument with Albacore the other day prompted this, so y'all can blame him.

I was watching a zombie movie, when he popped up on IM, and it occurred to me:

In classical monster myth, a holy symbol wielded by the faithful can repulse undead creatures, if not destroy them outright. The Chrysanthemum on a Japanese rifle is the symbol of the God-Emperor, is it not? So according to the premise that an item bearing a marking of religious significance can be used, do you think the Arisaka could be employed in this fashion?

Vaarok, your theory is spot on. The last time zombies attacked me at home, I first tried shooting them with a scrubbed Nagoya Series 10 T-99. It didn't work, so I grabbed my mummed Nagoya Series 3 T-99, and had no problems dispatching them. Yet one more reason to be a flower collector.

How about any of the Swiss Vatican guards. I mean they're charged with protecting the pope. Although I doubt they'd need much defense against the undead with their high walls and secret passageways to get away.

What about the Swiss rifles? The K31 or K11. They have a cross on the receiver.

What a myth on that plug ... When these stocks were made they were held in the machine in that area and made and indentation in it ... when it was finished a plug was used to fill it.
Sorry no Holy Water was filled in it.

I'm really not too sure on the French rifles but it sounded good enough.
The Swiss crest on the rifles should work though.

Nice hijack. You should start your own OT fantasy thread. IMO this is just as distasteful as the rants of islamic fundamentalists. Can we just talk about guns?( japanse specifically) politics and religion are sure fire ways to ruin a public forum like this. How could I forget some of the Israeli mauser crests with the star of david on them.
It looks like some of the Greek rifles with the St George Shield and Cross were meant to be used for good against evil.
