Do you think the Executive branch of the federal government is the final word on everything?

These laws are being litigated by several states in federal court right now, and if this litigation is successful, we could see a de facto gutting of the entire GCA of 1968.

More importantly, such a favorable verdict would represent a huge blow for freedom for us all, as much of the mischief being perpetrated on the country by those congresscritters is based on their current broad interpretation of the Commerce Clause.

Personally, I feel that ultimately the solution to our federal mess is constitutional amendments, requiring a balanced budget, tightening and clarification of the commerce clause, and term limitations for all federal elected officials, but that is a topic for another time and place.

what we want and what we get shoved up our ass are 2 different things, remember the constitution is that thing the democrats wipe their ass with everytime they get a chance and is open to interpritation as they see fit. i agree they need term limits and other limiting factors

The commenrce clause is what they used to regulate firearms in the first place, and its provisions haven't changed. This is all a tempest in a teapot.
