Has anyone read January American Rifleman? On page 14 is an article
about a Obama Website that posted their want on gun control. The article lists different agenda's mentioned on the site. The NRA had stated, shortly after it went up it came down but they kept an archive of the website. (nraila.org/obama)

When you go to NRA website there's no archive, only what the NRA has tracked on Obama the past few years on his votes on gun control. There was no archive of the Obama website.

I see panicked people at the range who parrot the same quotes as you see in the American Rifleman. I see people who've never shot a gun, going out and buying them from listening to these panicked people.

I hate being lied to by anyone, even the NRA. I don't like being led by the nose for someone's own agenda.

If anyone can find that archive webpage of which the NRA speaks of I'd like to be shown the light. Because I'm tired of scare tactics and lies to move people.

Nevermind, I think? The article states it's an archived agenda of their real agenda (NRA archive copy, not Obama's site)

Seems kinda funny though that someone at the NRA after years of catching people making statements and using those statements against them, nobody ever thought of copying the breaking news of the OBama website of his true agenda and archiving that. If someone told me through an email of a threat against me, I'd have it copied and printed in a flash without hesitation.

Any lawyer would and the NRA is full of those guys.

The NRA ended up in the hands of a Republican lobbying/PR outfit some years ago. You have to take this into account when you read their stuff, some of which sounds like it could be the work of a protege of Karl Rove. Not saying it's not so, but I'm skeptical at times.

Obama campaign did scrub it's website that listed many policy positions shortly after the election. This happend one day after Rush Limbaugh was reading directly from the website on the air.

The campaign is over. No need to pander anymore. Hold on tight ... it's time to change America.

Wake up call

If at this moment in time, you do not have a lock on the threat that is posed by the coming Obama/Liberal agenda, then you are not well read.

NRA or no NRA: the facts are out there.

Got a better organization to protect your rights than the NRA....post them here.

Otherwise, consider it an imperfect organization but certainly defending, not surrendering the right to bear arms.

I have found that the NRA has been able to back up just about every claim with a quote or documentation on lib politicians who seek to curb 2nd Amendment rights.

Bear in mind the BHO, Pelosi, Kennedy and the rest don't really care about the 2nd Amendment or the effects of gun control. It's all about showing off in the shower (so to speak). They simply want to push enough gun laws to keep the lib left from finding someone to replace them.

You weren't discussing Obama, you were defending Obama, and bashing the NRA.
No, I just expect my side to be the side of honesty as I read that article in my edition of the American Rifleman (because I support them). I was hoping to get someone who documented that website to bring it forward since my side (NRA) didn't have the foresight to copy it. (I wanted to read it.

I've been in management most of my life and the first thing you do is document, document, document, and I'm surprised that the NRA didn't do it which bothers me.

But all I got was someone with a sick in his yahoo screaming commie socialist against the NRA.

There's a bright bulb for ya.

If the NRA posted that a website showed who assasinated Kennedy and then you went to the website and saw only an old article documenting past judgements wouldn't you be a little miffed?

Sorry to get off track here, but I doubt anything will be done the first few years because he'd want to be re-elected and frankly to have a black Pres. take away your gun rights would bring more of a disasterous outcome than a white Pres. doing the same thing. Revolt would be magnified.

So enough of this. If anyone has a copy of this Obama website I'd like to see it and not have hearsay panic people. I'm just that way. Been trained the last eight years to think this way regarding politics. Been trained the last 30 years to expect more from the NRA.

Have you carefully re-read the NRA article? I am in a business requiring documentation myself. I have also caught myself 'jumping the gun' on something only to go back to find I did not have all my facts in order due to a skimmed or hurried reading of some bit of 'news'. Every web page ever put up is out there in a database somewhere but not everyone has access to them. That IS a fact. Used to be a freeware program to dig them out but I haven't looked for or seen it advertised or offered in a couple of years. Just looked it up - it was called 'wayback'. Might still be around?

You are out of touch to question this information-- it is not new and was available when voting took place. Too late now. We will be able to thank voters like you when the shot hits the fan. I have never seen a lie by the NRA, splitting hairs maybe, but the bottom line is always truth. They deserve our support, we wouldn't have a hobby if they had not been there the past 40 years.
