.....your Japanese WW2 Swords? Got my first one and I know nothing about them except what I have seen in the movies and displayed behind Tops desk - and he used two nails!

The Japanese still make lacquered wood stands or swords today. You can find them on eBay under sword stand. Some are cheap and gaudy and some are nice. It all depends on what you are looking for, I guess. Even the cheap ones will beat two nails in the wall!

Did all swords have a Guard, to protect the hands? The one I have does not and doesn't look like it ever had one?
