[5th Batt WWCT]

Here are my 2 NZ contract No8s that i purchased at the NZDF Cadet rifle auction just over 3 years ago.

Somehow during the run of about 2000 rifles, they produced 2 with the same serial number, makes me wonder how many NZ ended up getting, did they count each individual rifle as it went out the door or did they go by the serial numbers???
Note one is dated 1951, the other 1952

I can see the pics just fine...thus the drool on my shirt.

I own 8 L-E .22's, including both a Canadian and Brit No.7. In 12 years of collecting I have not yet had a viable/realistic opportunity to acquire either a No.8 or No. 9.

My dream though is still a trials No.5 .22

There were 285 No8s up for sale, we were allowed to buy 1 No8 each.
A friend of mine was only going along to buy a No9 & a DP'd No4, he said i could have his No8 bid so I went though the catalogue for a consecutive pair & found these.
