The current run on people buying guns is good for gun owners in general because more people will own them and there is political power in numbers. This bothers Obama, as you can see by this link.
http://www.suntimes.com/news/politics/obama/1318968,obama-gun-sales-up-120808.article

Obama stated again that he was pro-gun, and that he believed in "Common Sense" laws, whatever that means. The problem is his voting record and his past statements. It's not what he says, it's what he does that troubles me.

"Screw me once, shame on you. Screw me twice, shame on me."

"Anyone who thinks they need to rush out and buy a firearm clearly has not been paying attention to how quickly we make progress on this issue. We don't think these are first-time buyers. We think they are people who already have more than enough guns at their homes to protect themselves and are buying more."

If anyone sees the truth to this and the evil nature of owning more than one gun.
I am now opening the "No firearm left behind" If you feel its evil to own more than 1 firearm feel free to donate the rest to me. I will give them a home.

My view on this? KEEP BUYING! Its clear that gun bans are high up on the list of things to do. They wouldnt be showing so much interest in us purchasing firearms if it wasnt.
Buy buy buy, a high price AK is better than no AK at all.

Look at the bright side...
The current gold rush on guns and ammo IS sending a clear message!
The groundswell and numbers will resonate in 2010 and remind the next round of pols up for re-election they had better stay away from the subject. Obamanation and cohorts may have their agenda but those on the fence in Congress may have second thoughts about cutting their own throats.

from the article

I believe in common-sense gun safety laws
the only common sense gun safety laws are the 4 laws

the gun is always loaded
never point the gun at something you are not prepared to destroy
always be aware of your target and what is behind it
keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target

In addition, I just read where the Obama election team, while appointing new government officials, asks probing gun questions. They want to know if the applicant has guns, how many, and if they've ever had a gun accident or incident. The NRA is on top of this and investigating it.

Bush got serious in '04 and let the AWBan sunset, and it made his election.
I only trust polititions with high office for short periods of time if they trust me to have a gun. Thats the only way I vote.
The only good thing that came out of this election was that Alaska got to keep Palin ;)

Some otherPolititions take their service to us citizens very, very seriously.
Remember Marion Berry?
He personally removed Crack cocain from the streets of Washington D.C., one gram at a time!!!
He was so damn dedicated, that after rehab, he ran and got re-elected...~LOL!~

Back when Clinton was elected I rushed to buy guns before they disappeared. Prices were terribly high I and I got screwed when I bought 2 East German Makarov's in unissued condition with consecutive serial numbers for $125.00 each. I bought an arsenal refinished unfired Russian SKS for the terrible price of $120.00. I think I was raped when I paid about 200 for a NIB Norinko MAC90 (not sure on that price). I didn't rush out this time as I have all I need for any troubled times and only will buy what I want now for collecting purpose.
