Today one of our shooters turned up on the range with his M78 Vetterli and he made me shoot his last ten rounds.

What a joy it was to shoot this lovely old rifle, with its simulated BP load of around 24gr of ZZZZZ. My group measured around 5-6", but who cares, the grin on my face is still here, three hours later.

It's such a shame that here in UK one these old stagers is counted to be as dangeous as a .50cal BMG, and treated, in law, with the same degree of licensing.

Love my Vetterli Tac, shame it has gotten that way in England. My wife's relatives over there tell her there is no reason for her to come back because it isn't what she remembers.
Not just England, but ALL of the UK.

You CAN buy your Vetterli to look at, but you can't fire it. That will get you up to five years if you are caught.

To fire it you must get a firearms license, and the get a firearms license means that you have to join a club and go through the six months probie time and....

I give up - I've said it all before a dozen times.
