I recently broke down a Nippon Steel Trainer to clean her up, oil, etc. I believe that this is the first time the trainer has come apart. Can anyone tell me what the Kanji is inside the stock and under the handguard. The handguard Kanji is harder to read...

There are numbers underneath the receiver, if I recall. I will check & post them when I get back from travel this week, good point!

Pretty sure it's just an ass'y. number used to match barrel and receiver. All of mine are marked in a similar manner.
