Nice Beretta 1935 Regia Aeronautica...

Hello Friends !
Just wanted to share one on my last entries...This is a Beretta 1935 s.n. 424214, issued to Regia Aeronautica (Italian Royal Air Force) in 1937... So a relatively early one... As you can see it is in beautiful condition, mirror bore, with little sign of use. I got it at an Austrian auction and I'm very happy with it...
The Inspector stamp under the Eagle looks like BF or FB and I wonder if he is the same guy who inspected many Regia Aeronatica and Regia Marina (Navy) simply with a not so elaborated BF...
Thanks for watching !

Love the Berettas overall.Have a fair sized collection of them. Have two 1935s myself..Mine are in the 1944 era.

That is a very nice one you have acquired..

My blued one is earlier 44..The parkerized one is later 44 when the plant was under Nazi control...

Nice Berettas you have there ! And I see a nice Regia Aeronautica holster too... Also the grey-green holster made by/for Germans is a beauty... Congratulations !

Fausto,

Looks very nice........Must not have made many missions with that one......Nice Aur Force marking.....
Thanks

I actually think I bought those Holsters from a Member here..Maybe over on the Beretta Forum..

I do know those late parkerized ones sure did not get a lot of attention on the exterior beauty work..
Itworkedout: yes, me too think so... Looks like she spended all time in a drawer in some Regia Aeronautica's office...
Thanks for your kind words...
Carbine1911, your parkerized one is one of those still well finished...toward the very end of the war (February, March 1945) they not even polished the exterior surface which was rough and ugly, with deep traces of machining...
Nice '35, well kept.
Among my Beretta collection

I have also a R.A. one that is from 1940, so a little younger:

and this is my R.A. holster:

My 1935 Beretta is vintage 1940 with XVIII stamps on the slide. There is a "Geco" stamp on the receiver, that I believe indicates a commercial piece sent to Germany. It is in very good condition with some of the original bluing turning a brownish color. I have fired it somewhat and it has a fairly hard trigger pull. The bore is mirror bright and all numbers match.
Very nice pistols..One and all...They are just great little Handguns..
What a lot of magnificent Berettas ! Congratulations guys !
Gianluigi : io ne ho quattro, ma tu ne hai un'intera collezione...Bellissime !

My later perked one may bot be the worse but it does have some pretty substantial machining marks and is not finished too well overall..
Mine from 1936, a prize for an aviation nut. Wish I had the right holster.

Hi ! That's an early and very nice one ! Congratulations... Me, too, I'm looking for a good R.A. holster, but the pre War/War ones are not so easy to find... Here there is plenty of post War examples (both brown and light blue) which are identical to the older ones but not period correct... Good hunting !
