I was wondering, I'm in need of the little piece on the forward end of the bolt that grasps the empty shell and pulls it out of the chamber on my old 183. I don't know if the small "grabber thingy" is replacable by itself, or if I have to get a complete bolt....? Which is it?
I'd also like to fine the screw-on choke tip... it has the ".410 MOD" on it. The shotgun was the first gun I'd ever fired, 35 years ago when I was 6 years old. It was given to my mom on her 10th birthday (1951) and I believe it was a used shotgun then...:)
Anyway, any help or tips would be appreciated.

The production for the 183 models started in 1947 and continued with various minor changes and upgrades through 1968.

The little grabber thingy is called an extractor... There should be two, one left, part # 614 and one right, part # 613.

The #1 place to try to find any Mossberg parts is through Havlin Sales Company email [email protected]

Their Web site is
www.havlinsales.com

P.O. BOX 487
FESTUS MO 63028

(636) 937-6401

I would call them, it's a small mom and pop business and sometimes it takes a while on the emails.

Some times the chokes show up on Ebay, but not too often in .410 guage

Here is some more information on Mossberg's Shotguns
