Hey, I have a vet bring back DUV 41 K98, all matching, but it has been put into a "hunting" type stock. Dont have original stock...Metal and all is about 90%. Can you put a ballpark figure on what this would be worth? I am thinking of selling/trading this. I do have pictures of the vet that brought this back from Europe during WWII, but no capture papers with this one. THANKS for your input!

I would say about $400. You would have to find a correct era stock and barrel bands, not too hard to do, but will cost about $200. This puts your total cost at $600 which I think is about tops for a non-matching rifle unless it was a rare code.
