found these in a shop locally.

8mm mauser, Plain cardboard box, 20 rounds per box.

Olive colored steel case, copper bullet with red band, also red band at primer.
Headstamp is 22 at top center & 74 bottom center


Next is two unopened tin cans of 7.62x54r. Guy at store didn't know what country & he says Russian, but I'm thinking maybe it's Bulgarian, I really don't know.. I didn't open the cans yet. Anyone know which country/type/year this is..

Sure looks bulgarian to me, so how do I decypher what year & what kind?
I'm checking auctions & all the bulgarian 300 rd tins I'm seeing don't have these marks

I have never seen 74 Rom 8mm in that kind of can.
No, the can is the Bulgarian 7.62x54r

I didn't post pic of the 8mm. I only bought 5 boxes, but now that I'm being told it's romanian, think I have to take the 4 hour drive back there & get the last 8 boxes.
