WD is "werft division" (not sure on the spelling), couldn't find IWD is Noll's book.

I. = 1st in this case. 1st Werft Division located in Kiel. I wouldn't get fixated on the African attribution. Schutztruppe weapons issued in Deutsch-Ostafrika/Tanganyika/Tanzania were marked Sch.D.O.A. (weapon number).

I thought references to current auctions were "am strengste verboten" on this Board?
