Natchez Shooters Supply has some 223 NATO 55GR FMJ 30RD BOX (Three 10rnd Stripper clips) for 13.49 a unit (unit being 30 rounds). Not that bad a deal considering that so many places are running out of 5.56 and the prices some are asking for what they do have. Here's the link:

yea that is not too bad for such a small quantity. at least lately it's not. they also had tracers at 20 rounds for 8.49 which is actually cheaper than the ball.

If my calculator is working, that is $.4497 per round or $449.70 per 1000. Granted you would likely get a quantity discount but who buys 30 rounds of 5.56/.223 anyway????
