Probably those 14 guage martini shotguns with the special 3 prong firing pins. To keep the bad guys safe from the crowds!

They might have a few Arisakas around somewhere, but probably no ammo.

If they have ammo for those 14ga 3-ways or maybe 12 bore 2 1/2's they might have Arisaka ammo..I suspect its mostly show tho,everybody carrying a gun,guys with new/modern stuff outside and guys just carrying whatever bunched in the middle. Sort of like the "riflebutt" war clubs some of the indians used to carry, from a distance all people see is a large group oif "armed" men.
