After the 10 day wait and then some, I finally was able to pick up my SVT-40. Here's a quick pic I snapped of the rifle and of the notch as requested.

Yep, and a very lucky find for California. $750 for the rifle (electropenciled matching with sling and cleaning rod), original SVT scope, repro mount, extra mag, and manuel.

Good find in CA. Though I think that's not an original notch. Still. SVTs are super fun! Congrats! :D

That would be a good find anywhere. It's too bad you have to wait 10 days to pick up your firearms though. That's the problem with living in a communist state. Every time I fill out a 4473 I keep wanting to put Mass down as foreign country in the place of birth question.
