here the ole' girl is, it's a Long Branch No.4 MK1* originally made in 1944, and FTR'd in 1948, it's my favorite rifle, (over my MN M44 and T56 SKS) I deer hunt with it and like the rest of you guys have a lot of pride in it, I picked it up from my local dealer 2 years ago and it was my 1st high powered rifle. It is all original (from the FTR), besides the sling and magazine (ugh.. lost it in a panic out hunting heading back in the pitch black (got lost on the way back))
the pic of 4 of my 8 fire arms is to show it with it's bayonet mounted.

Nice Long Branch (aren't they all?). I don't think that there's a better field rifle than a No.4 L-E. Thanks for posting.

yeah, they're the Lithgow's of the No.4 series of Lee-Enfields, from my expierience with mine it's a very solid rifle and very accurate
