I picked up my first M44 this past weekend at the gunshow in Jackson, MS. It is a 1944 dated Izhevsk arsenal with all matching numbers. I am happy with it, and look forward to trying it out on the range.

You'll like it at the range, but probably more at a good plinking spot. They're tolerant of all kinds of different 54R, like alot of Mosins.

It will likely be more to Accurate POA to POI with the bayo extended. Try it both ways using same POA and see the difference.
