I just got a bolt, barreled receiver, and a few assorted parts for an M-1 Garand. The barrel measures a 2.5-3.0 on a cmp gauge, I plan to build one from these parts (adding the necessary parts of course), I know I could buy one cheaper, but I really wanted to do this. Any suggestions for parts sources and etc.would be appreciated. or would it be wise to go .308..I am a bit of a purist though. Thanks.
