Very nice looking shotgun, my father recently aquirred a Philidelpia arms Co sxs from 1905/1906 before Fox started his own company with the Krupp barrels, very expensive guns back then and they are few and far between.

Thanks black hills... it's a nice gun lucky to find it in this condition....
Not as nice shape as my Sauer Royal, or Sauer action Husqvarna 350, or Sauer action Simson,
One family owned 1925 Iver Johnson....
but never the less in nice shape over all...better than any I have seen in W.Va. shows I have been to....

Fox is my favorite shotgun make. The best American SxS. I've got a late Sterlingworth awaiting a stock restoration.

Gun sold in trade this last weekend for new in box o/u weatherby ....12, silver reciever engraved, $ 1,500 + price tag Orion 2 ...very nice gun...
He pointed to the left .... Pick any from those 5 tables and we will deal...some $ 10,000 down....these are slow movers...drillings, cape guns, high priced rifles...narrowed it down to two....weatherby's a German built rifle wood fantastic....and the 0/U shot gun...with out me coming up with extra money....

Hated to let the "Fox had to trot" ...but it being one of my lesser condition guns near the oldest ....
I enjoyed it for a short period of time...but didn't shoot it, for if it broke any part, or rib let go.....no place local to get it fixed, or cheaply, after my friend died...
I got top dollars $ 1,000 even over my envestment...in the Famous A. fox....

I wanted another quality "newer shooter....".. ....by to my most excellent Fox...Locked away in a collectors safe
