Am cleaning one up for a friend. Anyone have any info about these? Thanks. dj
I have a New Haven 250CA, made by Mossberg in the late Fifties to early Sixties. Mine has the Mossberg patented adjustable magazine that will handle .22 Shorts, Longs and Long Rifle. It's also marked as being able to function with all three cartridges. My rifle was made prior the GCA of 1968, so there is no serial number on it. My information comes from the National Mossberg Collectors Association, based in Festus, Missouri. I have fired it, after I changed out a broken firing pin (a common problem with vintage Mossberg .22 auto loaders) and it functions fine with .22 LR. I haven't tried shooting Shorts or Longs through it yet. Mine has a Simmons 22 Mag scope mounted on it and it is capable of "Minute of Squirrel" accuracy.
Hope this information helps
Gary
