O.k., which do you guys think is more rare/ harder to find:

1941 dated Tula 91/30, or:
1935 dated Izhevsk round receiver 91/30?

What thinks ye?

I have one of each. But I found the 1935 round at a local show and have seen another in person that was already bought and know several have posted about them here. The 1941 Tula I had to have shipped in after another member spotted it (thanks Larry!) and I only know of 2 or 3 others.

1941 Tula wins!

1941 Tula

I've seen two 1935 Izhevsk round receiver 91/30's, but never a 1941 Tula (a shop had one advertised on one of the auction sites, but turned out to be Izhevsk), so I've got to say the '41 Tula. For me, anyway.

Unfortunately, I've never even seen a '35 Izhevsk round in the flesh. I found my '41 Tula in almost embarrassingly easy conditions. It was priced as a simple refurb milsurp ($99), and even included the usual batch of accessories. Just lucky on that one, no skill involved at all. Then again, can I ever truly associate myself with 'skill'??...!

Sounds like the '41 Tula has the votes. Stay tuned for your next 'Mosin Cage Match', here on Gunboards.com...

41 Tula is the harder one in my opinion.
