A type 72 sniper?!?!? did it have a scope on it ? alot of people confuse a rifle with exotic iron sights as a sniper. Maybe a fantasy rifle made by bubba. Pictures would be the answer. I don't think there is a model 72 Japanese rifle.

Looks like a Kokura type 97 sniper, the rarer of the type 97's . Did you happen to get the serial # for our resident sniper guru the most honorable Vic A Soto. He can tell you if there is a matching scope out there for that gun and everything you wanted to know about it. Did you buy it?
