Was in VA this weekend and went to a shop that has a MM K98. Looked like a typical RC duv 42 with the usual hump job done by MM. I have read about their claim to offer special collector rifles with the "six key serials matching" or whatever dung they shovel into their magazine ads. When I saw the bolt I could only stare in disbelief. After being buffed every which way until it gleamed like a new quarter, they stamped the bolt handle with a "matching" serial number, along with the safety, I believe.
I'm no expert, but IMHO this borders on fraud, or at least a severe infraction of the "truth in advertising" that one expects.
At $300, I'd much rather spend money on a total m/m RC.
