A pawn shop down the road has a Mle 1892 Bethier Carbine for sale. It is numbers matching and not import marked. It has been duffle cut. Its priced at 259.99,but I could probably get it for $225. I am not a French Firearm Collector, but this thing looked really cool. I think it is an Artillery Carbine based off of this picture.

Is that a good price? Can you shoot modern ammo in it? Is 8mm lebel hard to find?

Can you shoot modern ammo in it ? ... of course you can shoot modern ammo in it, the French cartridge it shoots was the FIRST smokeless cartridge in the world.

Is 8mm lebel hard to find ? ... PriviPartizan (PPU) makes this cartridge called 8x50R 'Lebel', it can be found as supplies of it are returning back on the market.

Somebody cut the stock for an 1892 carbine? Where did he get his duffle bag, Smurfs 'r' Us?
