I have read everything I can find online about the Mas 36, 44, 49, 49/56, but I feel like I am missing something. There has got to be more historical information online about these rifles. What am I missing? What site?

Also, is there a site in which I can see the Mas 36, 44,49, 49/56 in action? Photos?

I am just craving more information.

Thanks!

Well, the very best way to ensure you've got hard data is to buy a book called "Proud Promise". It's the 'bible' of French firearms. There is plenty of historical data in there along with copious photos and drawings and also manufacturing charts, productions, parts lists, etc., etc. If you are going to collect French arms, you NEED that book in your library. With it you'll become the source of information and you won't have to rely on anyone else.
