I was watching an auction here in the PRK this week that had a few plain-Jane Mosins in it. I had called the auction house and had them look at the dates and the Dragoon was dated 1905 so I got interested and planned to bid on it.

Unfortunately I am on the BOD for an Industry Association and had to be in Sacramento for the meeting. While the president was talking away I was trying to login to the auction program to place a bid and couldn't get in no matter how many times I tried... frustrating!! I gave up and later on that night I got home and found it had sold for only $250!! Dangit. It had the Konovolov rear sight so it wasn't the original confirguration, but still I would have loved to own it. Am I correct in assuming they don't get seen too often?

Actually it would have also had a flat leaf sight I believe, as it's dated 1905.

The rear sight would have been upgraded around 1908 or thereafter for the improved cartridge.

I have a Kindle Fire that my wife got me for christmas, and it works great for me, and I am no Hi-Tech guru.
