This is about a gun that started out its life as a small ring 98 mauser in 7mm caliber. Rifling was gone and stock was cracked. Both replaced with parts from other sources. Question the trigger is worn out. I could rebuild it by drilling out and replacing the pins. But I would like to use a timney trigger instead. Does anyone here know if any of the Mauser Timney triggers will fill a small ring 98 mex mauser?

Not sure, but I think so. Best way to find out is ask Timney or Brownell's. They will be happy to tell you, and if just some models will, which oness.

Up until about 10 yrs ago timmney made a specific model for the Mexican Mauser 98, short action. It was a MS98. I dont know the difference between the 98FN and the MS98 but both do fit and work. I have a Timmney Sportsman Model SPMS98 that I do not need if your intrested, let me know.
