responded to my WTB ad for a 1911 through PM with a lengthy description of a 1911 he has. His account is only a few months old with about 10 posts. I copied and pasted his description of the 1911 into google. A real for sale ad from another site came up, the description was extremely similar, but he obviously edited it by omitting some of the minute details from the real ad.

I emailed him for pics, just to confirm my suspicion. He sent a batch of pics of a nice 1911. I asked for pics of it broken down. He gave excuses why he couldn't, then provided a SN. I asked for pics of the SN on the gun, he sent another batch of pictures of not only a different gun from the first batch, but of a gun with an entirely different SN that he provided previously.

Always do your research into the seller first before considering the gun.
