From 1930 RWS "Kleinkaliberschiessen" Der Moderne Volksport
Not prejudice, as they were selling ammo.
Interesting in that either the Germans did not compete here or did so poorly they did not place in the top ten and are not mentioned.
(Pardon my German)
Rank by National Team
Standing:
Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, France, Sweden, USA, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Italy
High Individual Olle Ericsson Sweden

Recognize the rifle? I do believe it is a Schultz and Larsen
No mention of what the equipment was. Evidently RWS furnished all the ammunition as targets of the high individuals are all depicted indicating shot with RWS.
Purely speculation but likely that some of the equipment went like this:
Sweden and Denmark Schultz & Larsen
Finland either Sako, Valmet, or S & L?
Norway Schultz & Larsen?
USA likely either Winchester 52 or Springfield 1922's
Switzerland, most likely Hammerli?
Italy ?
Poland ?
France (Who knows and who cares.)
Good Collecting!!!

Hi Mauser22!
Yes, top shooters was using RWS according to this add:
Olle Ericsson was truly a good shooter. He was using a rifle partly made by himself and partly with help by Schultz&Larsen. He didnt use his indexfinger as triggerfinger, instead his middlefinger (reported that the small bore rifles was between 6 and 8 kilos heavy!!):
Germany was not a member in the "Shooting Union" 1929 but was invited with a team. Germanys best shooter was the reputated (at that time) G. Bock.
Here is the US-team that had a lot of new young shooters. They had to borrow equipment for the small bore event and did GOOD.
The best danish shooter (army- and free-rifle):
And the results in small bore match (only in french in the 1929 program):
Debout= standing, Couché= prone, Équipe= team
Regards,
ARILAR
