ok my Steyr rifle 8x56R has matching barrel/receiver numbers right next to each other, where barrel meets receiver

how do I know if the stock is also original to this gun ? is there a serial number on the stock somewhere as well ?

There will be a SN stamped into the stock. If it has been rearsenaled, the stamp will be on the right side. If it is original matching, the number will be on the left with no others on the right side of the buttstock.

there is a s/n stamped on left side of stock, it doesn't match the one on the barrel/receiver

the trigger guard does not have any numbers on the side, but has a "K" visible on forward part facing straight down when guard is on gun

there are many numbers on the trigger guard on the underside, but it has to be removed to see them- they also are not stamped very clearly, some are indistinct that I can't read them clearly
